1. Who we are
Mile Cargo LLC is a private consulting company based in Homestead, Florida. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit milecargo.net, request a quote, write to us or hire a service, and what we do with it.
Mile Cargo LLC is not a U.S. government agency.
2. What information we collect
What you give us
- On the quote form: name, phone, the type of service you need, the state where you operate and whether you already have a registered company. If you wish, also email, vehicle type, whether you have a USDOT and its number, a message and how you found us.
- When you call or write to us by phone, WhatsApp or email: whatever you decide to share with us.
What we need if you hire a service
To process your company or permits we may need identification data for the owner and the company (for example, name, address, EIN, USDOT or MC numbers, driver's license and, when the agency requires it, Social Security number or ITIN), plus information about your vehicle and insurance. We only ask for it when it is necessary for the service you hired.
Do not enter your Social Security number or other sensitive documents on the website form or in the message field. When needed, we will tell you how to send them securely.
What is recorded automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider and measurement tools may record your IP address, the type of device and browser, the pages you visit and the date and time of the visit.
3. What we use it for
- To respond to your quote request and inquiries.
- To provide the services you hire and to file with the relevant agencies on your behalf, with your authorization.
- To keep you informed about the status of your filing.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect Mile Cargo and our customers against fraud or misuse.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data or rent it to third parties so they can advertise to you. We share it only in these cases:
- Agencies and official bodies (for example, FMCSA, the IRS and state offices), only what is needed for the service you hired.
- Trusted partners (insurance, dispatcher, factoring, truck sales), only if you ask for it or authorize it.
- Providers who help us operate the site and our communication with you (web hosting, email, forms, messaging and measurement). They may use the data only to provide that service to us.
- Authorities, when a law, a court order or a legal process requires it.
- A successor to the business, if Mile Cargo LLC merges, reorganizes or is sold; in that case we will tell you about any important change.
5. Cookies and third-party services
A cookie is a small file that the site stores in your browser. This site may use:
- Measurement tools (such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console) to learn, in aggregate, how many people visit each page and where they come from. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Google fonts: when the site loads, your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address.
The site also links to WhatsApp (Meta), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Yelp, Google Maps and official government pages. When you go to them, you leave our site and each one's privacy policy applies.
6. Calls, WhatsApp and messages
By submitting the form or writing to us, you agree that we may contact you by phone call, WhatsApp, text message or email to handle your request and your filing. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
We use these channels to serve you. If in the future we send you promotions or news, it will be only if you agreed to it. At any time you can ask us to stop contacting you, and we will.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as needed to handle your request, provide the service and meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. After that, we delete it or make it impossible to identify you.
8. How we protect it
We apply reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse, such as limiting who can see it and using encrypted connections. Even so, no method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal data of yours we hold.
- Correct data that is incomplete or incorrect.
- Delete your data, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Stop receiving calls, messages or emails from us.
Depending on the state where you live (for example, California), the law may give you additional rights; we will honor them to the extent they apply to us. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm your identity before handling a request. We respond within a reasonable time and always within what the law requires.
10. Minors
Our services are for adults: truckers and business owners. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
